The book I read to research this post was Social Media marketing 101 by Aaron Bradley which is a very good book that I downloaded for free from kindle. This book is only about 40 pages so is rather short although it has lots of statistical information about social media sites. The book is primarily about promoting your business but there is stuff of interest to general users of these sites. It does suggest if you are posting something that you want to get noticed upload a video. A short can say in maybe 30 seconds what it would pages to convey and lets face it a lot of people won’t read text especially when there are several pages. Younger people tend to use mobile devices to access there social media sites and they often turn to it when they are bored for entertainment. Facebook has 1.2 billion accounts and most of their subscribers log in every day. I think this book said the average person on this site has 230 friends. On Twitter the average user has 160 followers. 10 % of users use Twitter at work. There is also Instagram where you upload photos for people to view as long as it isn’t password protected. The average referral on this site makes $66 in photos they sell presumably. I did quite enjoy this book and if Aaron writes a full length book that maybe he sells I think I might be very tempted to buy it. Of course this book would suit a lot of people who like there reading to be fairly brief.
